This website is built and run with privacy in mind. The notes below explain what (very little) is collected when you visit.
Cookies
This site does not set any cookies for visitors. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
A session cookie is only set when an administrator logs in to the editorial area at /panel. That cookie is strictly necessary for the login to work and is exempt from cookie‑consent rules under UK PECR.
Analytics
Page visits are counted using Fathom Analytics, a privacy‑respecting service. Fathom does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses, and does not track you across other websites. The data collected is aggregate and anonymous — for example, how many people visited a page, where they came from, and which country (not city or address) they were in.
Personal data
This site does not currently have contact forms, comment fields, or a mailing‑list sign‑up. If you choose to email Allan directly using a link on the site, that email is handled by his ordinary email provider and is not stored on this website.
External links
Pages on this site link out to third‑party services such as YouTube, Bluesky, Instagram and online bookshops. Once you click through to those sites, their own privacy policies apply.
